EXTERIOR SHELL Hand-Poured Wax The exterior shells of our candles are made through the traditional, hand-poured wax method of candle making. The technology inside of the candle brings the realistic effect of a moving flame.
MOVEMENT Magnetic Field When you turn on your Luminara candle, the batteries send power to a coil inside that generates a magnetic field. A second magnet interacts with the magnetic field to produce random movement for the flame piece.
COLOR Candlelight LED Our LED light shoots diagonally to the center of the flame piece creating an effect that convincingly reproduces the look of a traditional burning candle.

Love Luminara - but need better packaging!

"I love Lumiinara - have over 50 of them myselt. Ordered these as a gift for someone. I've gotten most of mine from QVC - but have ordered 9 more directly from Luminara on sale. My only complaint when ordering direct - is packaging. This candle box (a gift) had a hole 'punched in/torn' as it was sent in a plastic envelope. A few more that were shipped were put in shipping boxes, and a single piece of packing paper, otherwise loose in box. Luckily I tried them all out and they worked - was worried due to the minimal packaging they might be broken. Other than the poor packagiing directly from Luminara - I was happy. (QVC does a much better job with packaging!)"

"They are a gorgeous color and I love the light they give off. I put in batteries because they were predicting we could loose power in the storm coming. They last 5 hours each time they light automatically and go out automatically so you don’t have to think about them and no open flame!"

wrong color

"pictureclearly shows dark bluebut onesi received are light blue. flame sbeautiful butwrong color. With Lminara it is hit or miss' either fla,e doesnt come on but a few minutes, wrong colot. timer does not work. I dont believve thry even read the revews. From now on I weill purchase my candles from Pottery Barn for better quality and they respond. When Plow and Hearth sold them I never had a prpblem."

amazing candles

"I have been using and gifting your candles for years. the first time I saw them was in a antique house tour. they looked so real someone on the tour was questioning the guide on the safety of real candles on the windowsills, they were yours, not real ones. . I knew then I had to have them. That was over 10 years ago. I still have the original candles working perfectly. I love the timers they work perfect. Its so nice to come home in the evening and be welcomed by the soft glow of candle light in a darkened house. I would recommend these candles to everyone. they are fantastic."
