MOVEMENT Magnetic Field When you turn on your Luminara candle, the batteries send power to a coil inside that generates a magnetic field. A second magnet interacts with the magnetic field to produce random movement for the flame piece.
COLOR Candlelight LED Our LED light shoots diagonally to the center of the flame piece creating an effect that convincingly reproduces the look of a traditional burning candle.

"I have many Luminara candles. I enjoy them. However in the past year,2025 I have been disappointed several times. Three candles that I have ordered have worked well then suddenly, without explanation they don’t light reliably or stay on long. I have changed their batteries repeatedly but the problems continue. Therefore I gave a three star rating because I I don’t have confidence that these candles will operate consistently. I also ordered and received 3 candles that looked like presents. They didn’t work well and the decoration on the surface crumbled. I want to keep ordering Luminara candles but I am frustrated."

Does the 4 inch height include the flame?
It would depend on the style of candle. Melted does include the flame and scalloped does not include the flame.
can these be used without the timer function (on 24/7 until batteries go out)
If left in the "on" position they will stay on.
