When you turn on your Luminara candle, the batteries send power to a coil inside that generates a magnetic field. A second magnet interacts with the magnetic field to produce random movement for the flame piece.

"The candles are terrific. The fulfillment, not so much. Lot's of confusing emails about items being delivered "tomorrow" but they never showed up until days later. In addition to the pinecone, there were two other candles which were both shipped separately. The fulfillment on those was equally problematic. I didn't have any delivery issues with my Luminara order last year. Maybe use real people for logistics instead of AI."
