EXTERIOR SHELL Hand-Poured Wax The exterior shells of our candles are made through the traditional, hand-poured wax method of candle making. The technology inside of the candle brings the realistic effect of a moving flame.
MOVEMENT Magnetic Field When you turn on your Luminara candle, the batteries send power to a coil inside that generates a magnetic field. A second magnet interacts with the magnetic field to produce random movement for the flame piece.
COLOR Candlelight LED Our LED light shoots diagonally to the center of the flame piece creating an effect that convincingly reproduces the look of a traditional burning candle.

Overall a good candle

"I've heard a lot about Luminara candles and decided to splurge on a few during their post holiday sale. The ordering process was easy, candles arrived in ~10 days and matched the website description. I initially didn't like the flame on the candle, but at night there's no denying it looks more realistic compared to other LED candles I've purchased because it "moves" and "flickers. " One candle arrived dented, but customer service was top notch. They answered my email in 2 days, told me the process to follow (upload photos to their portal) and after reviewing the case determined I was entitled to a new candle which arrived quickly. My only minor complaint is that Luminara does not offer price adjustments (the candles went on further sale after I purchased them). Thus, if I were to buy another set I would await their annual sale in February instead."

Good product-bad shipping

"Would have given this item 5 stars, but Luminara's use of Amazon Shipping for delivery made the whole transaction a royal pain. To make a long story short, Amazon insists on delivering our shipments to another address that is similar to ours except for the street direction, SW for the other address, NW for ours. They refuse to change this practice no matter what we say. So if Luminara is going to use them as their shipping company, count us out as a customer."
