"I like them, but I leave the candles, lit, in windows all year round. These last about a week with only 2 AAs. Yes, I know they have a timer. I was trying to replace balsam hill window candles that they no longer have (new ones are homely). Those take 2 D ( I think) batteries. They last much, much longer. Disappointed. Patricia Calvert"
