EXTERIOR SHELL Hand-Poured Wax The exterior shells of our candles are made through the traditional, hand-poured wax method of candle making. The technology inside of the candle brings the realistic effect of a moving flame.
MOVEMENT Magnetic Field When you turn on your Luminara candle, the batteries send power to a coil inside that generates a magnetic field. A second magnet interacts with the magnetic field to produce random movement for the flame piece.
COLOR Candlelight LED Our LED light shoots diagonally to the center of the flame piece creating an effect that convincingly reproduces the look of a traditional burning candle.

"I have purchased two of the tall large 6 in diameter pillars. I keep them on a covered front porch, flanking the front door, on a wrought iron candle stand. The battery has lastedabout a year. "It's a gift for a friend to be put inside a large glass/metal oversized carriage lamp that will be placed on her covered porch. The candle is an appropriate size for this large carriage lamp where regular sized battery operated candles would have been dwarfed inside the lamp. Will these candles melt if left out in the sun?
The outdoor candles are meant to be outdoors and are water resistant. They are made of a different material than are indoor candles are should not melt if left outdoor, as long as it is not extreme temperatures.
Are these candles rain acceptable?
The outdoor candles are water resistant but should not be overly wet.
